As a 2024 section nominee for junior golf promoter of the year, kids have endless opportunity to grow in the game of golf at Prestwick. Our reputation as the area’s top junior golf program was built on our consistent development of more than 400 junior golfers involved in a league or instructional program annually. We look to grow even more in 2026!

Instructional Programs:
Our junior instruction is led by our Director of Player Development and Junior Golf expert, John Potter. The programs offered allow kids the opportunity to grow each season or as their games progress.
Scramble league for junior golfers (ages 7-13)! Starting in January and running through March, junior participants will have a chance to play Augusta CC, Bay Hill, Pine Valley, Cypress Point, Pinehurst No 2, and other world class golf courses on a state-of-the-art simulator, right here at Prestwick. Participants should have basic prior instruction and be able to hit a golf ball with some level of consistency. A great way to introduce an element of competition with the guidance of a coach and without the pressure of individual performance – very laid-back and introductory. Learn more and join, here:
Intro to Competition – WINTER Scramble League

Starting in November and running throughout the winer, junior participants will have a chance to play Augusta CC, Bay Hill, Pine Valley, Cypress Point, Pinehurst No 2, and other world class golf courses right here at Prestwick. Open to junior golfers ages 12-18 who are currently involved in a competitive summer schedule (many local high school golfers will be involved in this weekly league). Golfers are coached on competitive mindset, course management, and game management during play and Scoring is “handicapped” which allows for younger (or less skilled) golfers to compete with our varsity level players. Our largest and most popular program is our Junior Golf Camp. The camp teaches the basics of golf to kids ages 5 to 12 and is offered (same material) 5 different weeks of the summer. 2026 Junior Golf Camp Application
Our rapidly-growing, next-step, program is our Tuesday evening KiDz cLuB program. This two hour program runs for 5 weeks and is offered throughout the season. We expect that applicants have a basic knowledge of holding and swinging the club with some experience – many applicants of this program are graduates of our Junior Camp. We spend our evening with instruction, having dinner, and incorporating the instructional topic into a game on the course or around the practice facility. All sessions, in past years, have filled in just weeks of registration opening – get those applications in quickly for 2025!
2026 PGA Jr. League sign up is open for the new year! Come and join our nationally recognized program by the PGA of America for the second year in a row as one of the best in the country. 2026 PGA Junior League Registration
Our final “step” in organized, group, junior golf instruction is the junior prep program. If you have a junior golfer (Ages 12-18) playing a competitive spring or summer schedule, this is for you. Maybe they’re playing on the Minny Tour (sota series, junior tour, or players tour)? Maybe they are a competitive golfer on the high school team, playing AJGA events, or variety of Junior PGA, USGA, or Amateur tournaments? Whatever their competitive schedule, if you are looking to help them take their game to the next competitive level, this is the place and THIS is the program. For Junior golfers looking to play a lot of golf without a desire for instruction, check out our Junior League. Prestwick Juniors that purchase a Junior Season pass. The $20 rate is available on select Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings and every day after 5:00. John Potter's Junior prep. This is a program geared towards high school players who are varsity or JV level and want to grow their games with aspirations of playing in college.

What is Kidz Club?
Kidz Club is a program on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:30. Each week it will include instruction, games and dinner for the kids! It is perfect date night for parents as you get two hours away and when you pick your kids up they will already have been fed!
Does my child need to have prior knowledge to participate in kidz club?
Yes, whether it is our junior golf camp or another junior golf program in the area. Kidz club is an intermediate level program for kids with prior golf instruction.
Does my child need to have clubs to participate?
It is not a requirement for your child to have clubs to participate in our junior golf camp or kidz club. We have clubs they can use! PGA Jr. League it is required your child has their own bag and clubs.
How many sessions of Kidz Club are offered?
There are four sessions offered beginning in early june and running through the middle of September.
